Sikkim is an exotic state of India surrounded bythe beautiful Himalayan Mountains, lakes and valleys, located in the north east part of the country. This small state has three international borders, viz., China (Tibet border) on the north, Bhutan on the east and Nepal on the west. Sikkim also shares a state border with West Bengal at its southern fringe. Sikkim is divided into 4 districts- north, east, west, south. The main beauty and attraction of Sikkim are several mountains, including the third tallest mountain in the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 meter). The state is further enriched by the Teesta and Rangeet river sand numerous varieties of flowers (approx. 5000 of them add colour to the state) including Rhododendrons and Orchids. There are various lakes and passes at dizzying altitudes, including Nathula pass, Jelep La Pass, Dongkla Pass, Chiwabhanjang Pass, Tsonmo Lake, Gurudongmar Lake etc.
